I'd prefer Shattenkirk when push comes to shove I can see them signing Smith. Won't be unhappy if they chose Smith though. I think they kind of have to sign him to show they didn't get nothing by trading picks to Detroit.

He's right handed. The Rangers have one on the roster, one UFA college kid they signed and one rumored to be flirting with retirement. It's a necessity.

Only problem I would have with Smith on a longer type deal, can his body hold up. Don't get me wrong, I love the way he plays but he isn't considered a big guy.

Well his skating is better than likes if Staal or Holden. But if he plays the way AV desires, idk if he can.

I think Colorado is impossible to trade with, but I guarantee you we can't get Duchene or McKinnon from them without Skjei in the deal

Hearing Dynamo Moscow could lose all its players on July 1st. League leaning towards releasing them as UFA's.

I like both Smith and Shatty - for 2-3 years. after that i would rather our young kids be playing. If i had to sign one of them it would be Smith because the cost is less.

I really want to see ADA play this year and I would also like to see Graves given a good look. Day will start in AHL and may force their hand to promote him - similar to Skjei.
